These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CRAI website (www.craimed.ch), the CRAI application (app.craimed.ch), and related services (collectively, the "Service") operated by the individuals listed in our Imprint.
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of the service
CRAI — Clinical Reasoning powered by AI — is an educational patient simulator designed to help medical students and trainees practice clinical reasoning, patient communication, and related skills through interactive, AI-generated fictional cases.
The Service is provided for training and education only. It is not a substitute for formal medical education, supervised clinical practice, licensure requirements, or professional judgment.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
Accounts may be created via Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, or email and password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your CRAI account. Notify us promptly at contact@craimed.ch if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Payment terms
Paid features, where offered, are billed through Stripe on a subscription or other stated basis. Prices, billing intervals, and included features are shown at the point of purchase.
- Billing: subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You authorise Stripe to charge your selected payment method for recurring fees.
- Cancellation: you may cancel your subscription through the account or billing management tools provided in the application or via Stripe customer portal, where available. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated.
- Refunds: except where required by applicable law, fees already paid are non-refundable. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at contact@craimed.ch within 14 days.
EU/EEA consumers — digital content: if you are a consumer in the European Union or European Economic Area and purchase digital content or a digital service, you may have a 14-day right of withdrawal under consumer protection law. By starting to use the Service immediately after purchase and expressly requesting immediate access, you acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once performance has begun, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use the Service lawfully and only for its intended educational purpose. You must not:
- enter real patient data, protected health information, or other third-party personal data into the Service
- use the Service for real clinical decision-making, diagnosis, or treatment of any person
- attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service
- share account credentials or resell access without our written permission
- use the Service to generate unlawful, harmful, harassing, or infringing content
- misrepresent AI-generated outputs as professional medical advice
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, case content, and documentation, is owned by the CRAI operators or their licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights.
You retain ownership of content you submit during simulations, subject to the licence you grant us to host, process, and use that content as necessary to operate and improve the Service, including processing through our AI sub-processors as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Medical disclaimer
CRAI is for education and training only.
All patients and scenarios in CRAI are fictional. The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate responses and feedback. CRAI is not a medical device and has not been evaluated or approved for clinical use.
Do not use CRAI for real clinical decisions, emergency care, or the diagnosis or treatment of actual patients. Do not enter real patient data. Always seek qualified healthcare professionals for medical questions and emergencies.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
To the extent permitted by law, the CRAI operators shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or (b) CHF 100, except where liability cannot be limited under mandatory applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Changes to the service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We will use reasonable efforts to notify account holders of material changes that affect paid subscriptions.
